Horror Month 2026
Ah, one of my favorite times of the year on Lamplight Drivel. It's time for Horror Month. October entries are 100% devoted to movies to make you shiver. Some might make you giggle, too. I've been in audiences where folks laugh at odd moments during these kinds of pictures. You have to wonder about them. Defense mechanism? Nervous response? Maybe they're just ill?
Some of this year's selections - as diverse as ever, thank you - may tickle your funny bone. Let's see. We have a couple of vampire flicks, a contemporary wolf tale, a '70s Italian horror that prefaced several like-minded '80s slashers, an undisputed classic from the '60s, a Poe adaptation, a bizarre chiller/satire from Down Under, two recent box office phenoms - one serious, the other only appearing that way, a controversial Hitchcock homage, some uh, body horror, and a low grade monster prostitute saga.
This year, you'll also get a little bonus. The final three posts of the month have a link, a theme. I hope you dig it.
Have fun!
