Serenity Garden Tea House & Cafe

We opted for High Tea.  Following a cup of tomato soup, a tower of scones, finger sandwiches, clotted cream and jam, and mini pastries were served with our tea of choice (from among over fifty), which came in a ceramic pot with decorative warmer.  I chose the pear spice white tea.  It was a wonderful few hours that Sunday afternoon.  I joined my wife, mother-in-law, and wife's cousin at Serenity Garden Tea House in West Palm Beach, a haunt with a devoted clientele.
Seated on the southeast corner of Vallette Way and Dixie Highway in the Mango Promenade district, the tea house occupies a converted ancient house in the most unobtrusive, natural style. Like it always housed such a relaxing, elegant enterprise.  Each room has a quaintly dressed table for those seeking a High Tea, Tot Tea, Royal Tea (with champagne), or traditional lunch.   The restroom has what appears to be the original bathtub, and it and the entire area are filled with flowers and tchotchkes.  Owner/host Audrey Farrelly is warm and funny, and happens to be a friend of said cousin.
You owe it to yourself.  It has become one of my favorite W.P.B. spots, and exemplifies the best of a city that is becoming increasingly overgrown.   A truly delightful aesthetic, perfectly capturing both the funky and more upscale feel of much of the Eastern part of town.

Reservations recommended.  They also cater.
